Bulging Disc Case History : Patient is a 54-year-old female with complaints severe low back pain. Patient has had problems since her job as a mail carrier but this flare-up was brought on by a slip and fall while putting up Christmas lights and lifting her grandson. Prior Treatment : Pain Medication, N.S.A.I.D.S. Diagnosis : Lumber segmental dysfunction, degeneration lumbar spine, lumbalgia Presenting Complaints : Constant 10/10 sharp low back pain, High Blood Pressure Short Term Outcome : Relief from pain. Blood pressure medication reduced to half. Course of care : 18 Visits Migraines started in my 20's and back pain started while I was a mail carrier. I was in bed with migraines and back pain for years. Then depression set in and I stopped moving to stop the pain. In internist treated me with pain pills. After taking x-rays, he determined I just had arthritis and was suffering from depression. I had uncontrolled high blood pressure that I was hospitalized for many times and many trips to the ER just to get my B/P down. I thought I had to live with my back pain forever. I once collapsed at home holding my grandson. 911 came. The hospital gave me a shot and sent me home. Christmas this year I picked up my grandsons and the pain was so intense I pleaded for help. My husband found Dr. Frye. I was in so much pain on Christmas Day. They saw me immediately. God Bless! Within weeks my Internist reduced my blood pressure medicine to half, stopped my water pills, and the depression left. I lost 6 lbs. and I am now walking on my treatmill.
